Makeup of the Day: 08/31/2014
For today's look I wanted to do a lip that popped, so I made sure not to get too dramatic with my eye makeup look. I used 'dust' from Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette on my eyelid and 'burnout' on my crease, also from the Naked 3 Palette. I used benefit's gimme brow for my brows, of course. I also used elf bronzer for contouring featured on my cheeks and nose along with elf highlighter. For my lips, I lined them using a lip brush and applied 'rebel' by MAC on the edge and a little on the middle of my lips. I then swiped on a nude lipstick (I used #14 by Rimmel).

Review: Softlips Cube
I recently signed up to be a member for influenster (influenster.com) and they sent me a VitaVoxBox full of some free samples. This is by far my favorite item in my VoxBox. It's softlips version of the Esos lip balm, but I like this one a lot better. In my opinion, it lasts longer and has 5 benefits for its users. I was sent the fresh mint flavor, but it also comes in vanilla bean and pomegranate blueberry. Influenster also sent me two $1 off coupons and I am definitely going to use them ASAP to get the other flavors and try those out. These little guys cost about $3.50 each which isn't terrible, especially considering how well it works and how many benefits it has.

I've Found Peace with My Body. You Should, Too.
So, this is me. No filter. No editing. Nothing. Just me. And this is my body that I have come to love and be comfortable in. I had issues with body image before (as most girls have) and struggled for a long time with being secure with how I looked physically.
Now I feel great and try to take care of myself enough to maintain that attitude about how I look. Curves are okay, embrace them. Being a twig isn't cute nor is it healthy.
Be happy with your body and feel confident with yourself. Don't try to be "thin" like that model from Victoria's Secret or that magazine ad. They had a little help from Photoshop. Perfection isn't achievable because everyone has a different idea of what perfect is to them. Strive for being happy with how you look and focus more on who you are than what you look like.

college bedroom styled on a budget
So I just moved for school and I'm loving how my room is coming together.

- sheets (blue layer): target $15 (XL twin-comes with sham for pillow)
- throw blanket: Home Goods $20
- faux fur rug: IKEA $30 (it's my favorite and the softest thing in the world which makes it worth the price)
- throw pillows: Home Goods $25 (2 pack)
- desk w/ contact paper design: target $6(I had the desk for a while and I added contact paper on the top to cover watermarks and stains. Just decorate an old desk to make it look new!)
